Passion is the secret sauce in every successful culinary business. Whether you are starting a restaurant or a food truck, or you have been in the culinary game for years, West BDC’s Concept to Launch: Creating a Successful Culinary Business workshop will channel your passion into concrete, tangible action steps you can use right now.

It all boils down to the three “M’s” – menu, marketing and management. Menu development is where you use that passion you have for creating tasty creations your demographic will come back for again and again. Management is getting that perfect back and front of house team together and creating a well-oiled operation that has fun while serving up your delicious meals. Marketing is getting the word out – whether it’s Instagram or guest referrals – to keep your restaurant thriving.

Taught by Julia Siderakis, the West Business Development Center Restaurant Advisor, instructor at Mendocino Community College and former owner of 27 years of the Ukiah Garden Café this workshop is for all levels of restaurateur – from beginner to advanced.

Julia notes, “I’m thrilled to be helping others enhance or launch their business and culinary ventures. I am hoping those who attend will absorb the tools they need to take their foodie passion to profit and get a real handle on what it takes to own and operate a restaurant business.”
