There are dozens of articles telling us that networking is an essential piece of the puzzle when building your career or business. However, the term “networking†can sound intimidating, especially if you have never attended a networking event before. It can be difficult to find the right group to join when you are first starting to build your business or test your passion project.

Universally, more often than not networking can lead to job offers or collaborations that improve business growth. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur or an experienced business owner, you can always learn something from someone who knows more. Learning tips and building business relationships during social situations is the most advantageous, which is why you should always try and give networking a try.

But where to start?

What if, instead of tentative interactions at official networking events, there was an informal and fun social gathering for like-minded entrepreneurs who enjoy making connections and seeing each other succeed? Mendocino Women’s Business Center, hosted by West Business Development Center, knew that there were women-owned businesses in Mendocino County who were doing extraordinary things and wanted to highlight their inspiring work. The Mendopreneurs Empowerment Night was created to answer the need for a social event to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and to illuminate these women-owned businesses.

Every month you can come and discover a women-owned business, which hosts Women Mendopreneurs Empowerment Night. This is an informal social gathering that is the perfect opportunity for you to make new friends in the business community or find friends in that community you already know.

Everyone is welcomed to this free event, to enjoy local food and beverages while socializing with similarly driven local entrepreneurs and small business owners. RSVP today!

This month’s Women Mendopreneurs Empowerment Night is hosted by The Color Mill, owned by Aspen and Jeremy Logan, big thinkers in a small town. When they were at a crossroads, having to decide if they should move or stay in Fort Bragg, they walked by The Color Mill and saw a sign that said the business was for sale.
