Economic Development Liaison
In May 2022 West Center was named as the Economic Development Liaison for Mendocino County. West Center is contracted to provide services in three strategic areas:
- Economic development capacity
- Business recruitment and retention
- Workforce development
The scope of work includes key actions that support implementation of the County’s strategic plan by collaborating with economic development partners to identify areas where the County can support business attraction, development, and expansion and implementing policies and practices to make it easier for businesses to start up and expand.

We are proud to share this impact report that highlights our services and a few of the resilient entrepreneurs we served these past two years. It showcases our signature programs: Centro Latino West, StartUp Mendocino, and Emergency Preparation, and provides an update on the ongoing economic development initiatives.
