Mendo LEAP
Born from one mother's determination to ensure no family feels alone, Mendo LEAP is changing what's possible for neurodiverse children and their families in rural Mendocino County. Founder Megan Peterson created the organization to fill a gap she experienced firsthand—building a welcoming, inclusive space where children can learn through play and families can find understanding, connection, and support.
As Mendo LEAP began to grow, West Center partnered with Megan to help turn her vision into a sustainable future. Through one-on-one business advising, strategic planning, and funding guidance, she was able to navigate major business decisions, expand her services, and strengthen the foundation of her organization. Today, Mendo LEAP is reaching more families than ever, proving that when passion is paired with the right support, lasting community impact is possible.

We are part of something bigger.
The Mendocino WBC is proud to be part of the California WBC network, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The 16 Women's Business Centers around the state work in collaboration to leverage their expertise and resources to assist women and men in igniting their dream of business ownership. Together we build resilient communities and grow stable economies.
