Artists in Action: Day Jobs For Artists

Some artists are fortunate enough to make their art full-time, either because they sell enough art to support themselves, or they have a supportive partner, or they have savings or a trust to live on. However most artists--at least in the beginning of their careers--have to rely on a second job to make ends meet. Those "day jobs" can be either a source of frustration because they eat up so much studio time, or of liberation because they allow one to make their art without the pressure to derive an income from it. So if one must have a day job, what is the best one for you and how do you find it?
