West Center staff was thrilled to welcome Congressman Jared Huffman to our Ukiah office on Thursday April 14. Mary Anne Petrillo spoke with Cong. Huffman about the need for continued funding for small businesses, especially in our rural area. And despite businesses being able to re-open post-pandemic, she pointed out that many business owners are still struggling due to the inability to find qualified employees.
Mary Anne also highlighted West Center’s outreach to the Latino business community via our Centro Latino West website page and social media campaigns.
Congressman Huffman had the opportunity to meet with Lori Enriquez, owner of Happy Rides Inc. Loris spoke with the congressman about the personal inspiration she had to start her non-emergency medical transportation company in Fort Bragg. Lori has just opened an office in Ukiah and provides rides to those needing medical treatment to facilities throughout northern California.
