The StartUp Mendocino 2022 business accelerator program would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, one of whom is Tri Counties Bank. We recently caught up with Jeff Kelly, Senior Business Banker of the Santa Rosa Hub Branch to ask him about the bank and its support of StartUp Mendocino.
Tri Counties Bank has a long history of investing in the financial success and well-being of our communities and is committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which we do business. We demonstrate this commitment through community involvement in and support for:
- Community Reinvestment Act investment, donations, sponsorships, and lending
- Volunteer service activities
- Community sponsorships
How does your organization support economic development and business growth in Mendocino County?
I chair the finance ad hoc committee of the Sonoma-Mendocino Economic Development District (SMEDD) and Mary Anne Petrillo (West Center CEO) is the acting Chair of the Board. I have been working fairly closely with her over the past year in developing a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the region to better coordinate funding and other resources within the region/district.
What is one resource you would like to share that would help businesses be more successful in Mendocino County?
Other than being aware of the programs and resources provided by local economic development organizations like West Center, SMEDD, Sonoma Clean Power, North Coast Broadband Consortium, and other local organizations, Tri Counties Bank partners with local Community Development Financial Institutions like the Economic Development & Financing Corporation (EDFC) and Creser Capital Fund to provide access to financing and technical assistance for small businesses.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Mendocino County?
I really like visiting Hopland and Fort Bragg to enjoy the food, drinks, and the beautiful nature that they have.
