Welcome to the New Year and our new name, West Business Development Center.
We’re celebrating by offering a whole new slate of exciting workshops this year on everything from how to use Instagram to turning your passion into profit. We’ll also be partnering with Visit Mendocino for a workshop series on Hospitality in the Digital Age and, offering a full program of workshops on Culinary Entrepreneurship called Food For Thought and more.
We’re kicking off the year with one of our most popular workshops, Business Basics: Turning Your Ideas Into Action. This dynamic class is for anyone who wants to start a business in Mendocino or Lake Counties. Steve O’Mara is our expert instructor, who has more than two decades of experience helping businesses start, grow and expand. He’s passionate about helping people get started and boils it all down, “Business startup is simple once you understand the building blocks. I share lessons taught to me by the many entrepreneurs I’ve worked with for more than twenty-five years. My goal is to help you see around corners so that you can start your business on the right foot.” The workshop will cover everything from getting your business license, figuring out how to find customers, or how to get a loan.
